Sample Acquisition and Handling

TPI houses world-class expertise in sample acquisition and handling as well as drill design. Our Co-Founder, Scott Stanley, is one of the few individuals with actual experience developing drills, corers, and sample acquisition systems for planetary applications. He has been the Principal Investigator on several NASA-funded drill and corer development programs primarily focused on Mars exploration. 

TPI drills have included:

• Sample handling containers to store volatile-containing materials 
• Planetary drills with detachable bits incorporating a heating element for Moon and asteroid water mining
