Scott Stanley is the Chief Technology Officer and co-founder of Techno Planet Inc. Previously, he held senior roles at Hughes Aircraft, Schaeffer Magnetics, Moog, and Alliance Spacesystems. Mr. Stanley is a recognized aerospace industry expert in the development and manufacture of spacecraft mechanisms for orbital and planetary applications and drills and sample acquisition systems focused on Mars and the Moon. He has been a NASA Principal Investigator for planetary robotic drilling, coring, and sample handling development projects.
Scott also has extensive experience in developing mechanisms, actuators and electromechanical systems for aircraft, ships, and ground-based applications. His career has included stints with government and large, medium and small commercial firms, with the last 25 years focusing on entrepreneurial efforts.
Scott received his Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Loyola Marymount University, where is helping develop the next generation of mechanical engineers through sponsored joint development projects with TPI.
